 Refill Adapter for BCI-3 and BCI-6 ink tanks

 
  
 Our newest fill adapter fits Canon BCI-3 and BCI-6 ink tanks. This adapter fills both sides of the tank to the max, reducing the frequently frustrating chore of trying to transfer the ink from the open reservoir side to the sponge filled side.
 How does it work? The ink tank fits snugly into the adapter with the outlet hole secured with a soft neprene pad for leakproof transfer of the inks from a syringe to the tank. Step 1. Insert the tank. Step 2. Fill the syringe with the proper amount and color of ink (ink can be returned to the bottle if too much is drawn). Attach the syringe to the luer fitting on the bottom of the adapter tightly by twisting it gently. Step 3. With the fill hole on top open, hold your fingers -or tape over - The breather holes on top of the tank over the sponge side. Step 4. Inject ink into the tank. The clear open side will fill first. Step 5. Place the plug, (Ball or screw) back into the fill hole and remove the block (tape or fingers) from atop the sponge side. Continue injecting ink. You will see it saturate the sponge material. Stop when it reaches within 1/8" of the top of the tank. Step 6. Remove the ink tank and place it in a storage clip. The adapter and the syringe should be thoroughly cleaned between uses.

 Use the same device to fill the tank with cleaning solution and/or distilled water, and then flush the tank, pulling the fluids out the exit hole or forcing them out the fill and breather holes

 An alternate method of forcing 60cc's of warm distilled water through the cart, with the excess exiting the tank through the breather holes and fill hole at the top of the sponge side produces clean tanks suitable for refill once they have dried out. An adapter is available that will allow you to force a continuous flow of liquid through the cartridge, Or, when reversed, to vacuum all fluids from the cart into a waste tank.

 The continuous feed adapter is a system of luer fittings and one way valves which allow you to either force liquids into the tank from a water/cleaning solution source, or when reversed, will remove liquid from the tank and transfer it to a waste tank.
